BAMFORD COMMUNITY ARTS & CRAFTS

Bamford Community Arts and Crafts (Registered Charity No 1095436)

Bamford Community Arts and Crafts (BCAC) is a community association and registered charity, established in 2001. We aim to promote arts, crafts and music facilities for the benefit of people in the Bamford area. This is achieved by providing opportunities to participate, listen or watch a variety of performances.

We have regular events including the popular annual Gig in the Pub which is a showcase for young, local musicians. We also host events that are subsidised by 'Live and Local', an organisation that promotes professional acts to perform in local communities. Such acts have included The Old Dance School, Ashley Hutchings and Pinocchio Puppet Theatre. BCAC has also supported a small singing group, the Bamford Village Singers as well as a number of small arts and crafts initiatives.

We are always interested in promoting all forms of arts and crafts. If you would like to be a part of our small team, please let us know. We meet 5-6 times a year and try to spread tasks around evenly so no one member is asked to commit to more than is comfortable for them. Members of the BCAC are all local residents.

The BCAC Trustees are: Cath Allwood, David Allwood (Treasurer), Jan Beatty, Diane Kinnear (Secretary), Liz Marshall (Chair) & Phil Taylor.

For information about events please check our Facebook page: Bamford Community Arts and Crafts
